Katt Williams Proved That Kevin Hart is A Better Comedian and Businessman.

I’ve come to accept that Katt Wiliiams isn’t funny anymore at the highest level of stand up comedy. And it’s quite a shame because I want to see him win. I want him to show the world that you can have a successful career doing stand up exclusively. But seriously, Katt’s been recycling so much material lately, His routines on race, politics, and current events? It seems like all Williams’ do in preparation for a stand up is go on Google and review the trending topics.

Williams has to recognize that in this social media age, people are making memes and skits on current events less than 24hrs after they happen. You can’t wait until you have a Netflix special to make a joke about the Alabama Riverfront Brawl. He made some funny jokes about it, but it’s still old news by now.

Williams had the best interview in 2024 thus far on Club Shay Shay. So I thought he was gone bring some more fire and spill some more secrets in his upcoming Netflix special. Turns out, he’s maybe better at spilling tea in interviews than on stage. ‘Woke Foke’ felt like it was trailing behind that interview like a little brother trying to keep up

And about him going head-to-head with Kevin Hart? In that interview, Katt was all, “Put me against Hart, and it’s no contest.” But after watching ‘Woke Foke,’ let’s just say Hart’s not sweating it. Hart has blockbuster movies, commercials, and is the face of DraftKings. What does Katt Williams do for a living when he’s not doing a stand up gig?

Regardless of Hart allegedly being an industry plant, or wearing a dress just to make it in Hollywood, Hart has a $450M networth which makes Katt Williams’ $2M networth look like a 9 to 5.  No, you shouldn’t go against your morals for success, but that is also not an excuse to produce mediocre content like Williams is doing. Williams needs to do some movies.

Now, the ending of a good stand-up should leave you hyped, right? Dave Chappelle disappears for a decade, comes back, and it’s like he never left. You finish his show hungry for more. Williams’ show ends and it’s more like, “Wait, that’s it? That’s all you got?”

In Woke Foke, Williams talks about how great America is as a country and then goes on a tantrum about reparations. It just sounded like he wanted to kiss ass before he got on white peoples’ ass. And he talked about good pussy once again like he did in World War III. 

Williams’ special came off like a powerpoint presentation because he had photos displayed for each subject. One thing that makes comedy entertaining is when comedians talk like they’re just having a conversation. Woke Foke seemed like if Williams switched subjects then the wrong photo would pop up for the wrong joke.

So yeah, after all the hype in his interview, that Netflix special was a bit of a letdown. If Williams’ next special waits for another viral moment, we might be in for a long pause. As for Kevin Hart, viral or not, that guy just keeps rolling.
