Murder in the Gold Coast

Intro:

Carlton Weekly aka FBG Duck was standing in line outside of the Dolce & Gabbana store when two vehicles pulled up on the side of the road. Two males from the first car jumped out and started shooting at Duck. Duck tried to find cover, but two males exited from the second car and shot at Duck, leaving him trapped.

The shooting lasted 12 seconds and 38 shots were fired. Duck was shot 16 times but was still alive as he laid on the ground dying. Approximately, one month prior to his murder, Duck released a rap song called, “Dead B*tches,” which he “dissed” multiple rival gang members. It’s speculative that this was the motivation for the mafia style murder of FBG Duck, but stick around because there is a plot twist that you won’t see coming.

***

On a beautiful day in Chicago, August 4th, 2020, local Chicago rapper, FBG Duck called someone a friend in the early afternoon to give him a ride to a nearby Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant. When Duck arrived at the KFC, he called his girlfriend to meet him there. About five minutes later, Duck got in the passenger seat of his girlfriend’s car and they drove to her residence.

If you’re wondering why Duck didn’t drive himself or why he used two people for transportation is because Duck was a high ranking gang member of the STL/EBT faction of the Gangster Disciples and had a lot of enemies in the Southside of Chicago, so he had to move around the city stealthy to protect himself.

While Duck was at his girlfriend’s house they ate food and watched some TV. Duck asked his girlfriend what he should get his son for his birthday and suggested they go out to the Gold Coast to shop. But FBG Duck’s girlfriend knew that he was a high-profile gangster in Chicago and suggested that he shopped online. Even though Duck’s son’s birthday was only a week away on August 11, he was still afraid that his gifts wouldn’t arrive on time, and he didn’t want to pay extra money for expedited shipping, so he still wanted to go out to a store to buy gifts.

Around 3:30pm FBG Duck’s girlfriend drove him to the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is a luxury area of Chicago with many luxury shops and Michelin star restaurants. Many of Duck’s enemies were from Parkway Gardens, a low income housing project which was nicknamed O-Block, after a slain resident by the name of Odee Perry in 2011. O-Block was thirty minutes away from Gold Coast and most of those residents did not hang out in the Gold Coast area and could not afford to shop there, so Duck figured it was a safe place to be.

Duck went shopping at Milani Boutique, a luxury clothing store for children. His girlfriend stayed in the car parked outside the store. Duck bought his son a Givenchy t-shirt and a pair of socks for $250. Once he left the store he got in his girlfriend’s car and told her that he wanted to buy something at Dolce & Gabbana. So his girlfriend moved the car across the street in front of the store. Duck got out and had to stand in a queue outside the store. COVID-19 restrictions were still at it’s peak during August 2020, so only a certain amount of people were allowed in stores at a time.

A white female stood in front of Duck and a Black male stood behind Duck. The Black male asked Duck how long he’d been waiting in line. Duck eyed him suspiciously. Any young Black male could be a potential enemy since most gang factions in Chicago didn’t wear specific colors or have a specific look. Duck replied that he’d been waiting twenty minutes and went back to looking at his Instagram account on his phone.

At approximately 4:26 p.m., a black Ford Fusion and a gray Chrysler arrived at Dolce & Gabbana. Two males exited from the passenger’s side of the Fusion and started shooting at Duck as he stood on the sidewalk. Then two males exited from the passenger’s side of the Chrysler and shot at Duck. At this point Duck was lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. One individual stood over Duck and shot him more times.

When police arrived on the scene they asked Duck where he was shot.

Duck replied, “Everywhere.”

Forty minutes would pass between the time Duck was shot and when he arrived at the hospital. If the police had been more responsive to give urgent care, it’s possible that Duck could have survived.

It would take over a year before arrests were made for Duck’s murder. Everyone thought it was members of O-Block because of Duck’s song “Dead B*tches” which dissed multiple dead residents from O-Block. In October 2021, five men were arrested for the murder of FBG Duck.

But according to the FBI report, here is the real reason why FBG Duck was ambushed and killed.

While Duck shopped in the Milani Boutique, there was another Black male in the store who kept staring at Duck. Duck noticed the man staring at him but he didn’t know who he was so he thought nothing of it. As mentioned before Duck was a fairly known rapper at this time, especially in Chicago, so it wasn’t unusual for him to be noticed.

When Duck left Milani Boutique, the Black male who stared at him was still watching his every move. The Black male left the store and entered Moncler, which was a store down and across the street from Dolce & Gabbana.

As the Black male stood at the window inside Moncler, he made a phone call. He was speaking in such a wild and agitated state, that the security guard inside the store began to record him. There have been numerous thefts from the store within the past few weeks so the security guard was skeptical of the frantic man.

The man who made the phone call was Ralph Turpin aka THF Teezy. THF means Trigga Happy Family, it’s a gang faction in Chicago that are enemies of STL/EBT and have ties with multiple factions of the Black Disciples which include sets from O-Block. THF Teezy called a man named D. Thang. THF Teezy was saying that FBG Duck was chasing him with a gun and that Duck was gone to kill him.

D. Thang made a phone call to someone residing in O-Block and ultimately six individuals who were at the O-Block residence got into two cars and drove to the Gold Coast to kill Duck.

The individuals were Marcus Smart (Muwop), Charles Liggins (C-Murda), Kenneth Roberson (Kenny Mac), Tacarlos Offerd, (Los), Christopher Thomas (C-Murda), and Ezell Rawls (Zell Munna) who committed suicide before arrests were made.

After 4:26 p.m., THF Teezy walked down across the street to get a better look at FBG Duck lying on the ground dying. He then sent a text message to his baby mama with three laughing emojis.

The reason THF Teezy wanted Duck dead was because Duck had a romantic relationship with Teezy’s babymama a few years ago and Teezy still felt jealousy over that. So instead of handling his own business, he lied to other gang members and had them do the deed for him. It’s speculative that Duck’s killers didn’t come to save Teezy’s life because they wanted Duck dead regardless. And because Duck had a $100,000 bounty on his head for releasing “Dead B*tches.” The bounty was placed by former rapper, King Von, who died in November 2021 after a fight with a rival rapper. King Von wanted Duck dead for dissing his best friend, T.Roy who got shot and killed at a clothing store in Chicago.

Despite Teezy getting revenge for his jealousy, he still got charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. So he got rid of one guy having sex with his baby mama, but now she can have sex with all of Teezy’s enemies while he spends the rest of his life in prison.
