My first personal computer was a 2010 MacBook that my mom bought me when I left for college. It had 2gb of ram and I believe 128gb hard drive. And it ran smooth just off 2gb of ram.
That MacBook lasted me a long time. I didn’t upgrade until 2016 when I bought another MacBook.
Unfortunately, I accidentally broke the screen on that MacBook in 2020. Instead of buying another MacBook, I bought an Alienware laptop because I wanted to play games too.
Gaming laptops are not worth the money. The GPUs are not as powerful as the desktop GPUs and the models go out of date within two to three years.
When I need to buy another laptop I’m switching back to MacBook and staying there.
