Katt Williams Attempts to Stay Relevant.

2024 is starting off funny. Dave Chapelle released a standup special on Netflix, and Katt Williams did an interview with Shannon Sharpe, talking about “dirt” that other comedians are doing in Hollywood. 

I’m not going to go into details about what Katt Williams said because if you’re reading this article, then you either have already seen the interview or you can watch it on YouTube. 

The only thing I got out of the interview was entertainment. Nothing Katt Williams said was something to be taken seriously. So Steve Harvey stopped doing comedy because Katt Williams called him out for wearing a wig. Well, nobody cares about Steve Harvey doing stand up because he makes Family Feud far more entertaining. 

Saying that Cedric The Entertainer doesn’t write doesn’t matter. When a comedian takes that stage the only thing that matters is whether he’s funny or not. 

Who gives a damn about the truth on how Katt Williams got the pimp role on Friday After Next. Nobody gives a damn about how these actors end up in the movies they’re in. As long as the audience feels like you were the right cast for the role then thats what matters. 

The issues that Katt Williams described are called human nature. People have clicked up since high school. If you can’t beat’em then join’em, but it’s too late for Katt to join the posse and thats why he’s throwing their names under the bus.

Katt mentioned Kevin Hart being an “Industry Plant.” Look, Kevin Hart achieved the comedic success that every comedian dreams of. And he did it without his jokes being as vulgar as Katt Williams. 

At the end of the day, Kevin Hart is working. All of his Netflix Specials lived up to the hype. Kevin Hart has multiple blockbuster movie hits like Jumunji, The Secret Life of Pets, and Ride Along.

I remember thinking the last Katt Williams Netflix Special wasn’t that funny and it felt like he didn’t have much to talk about. And what was the last hit movie that Katt Williams was featured in other than Friday After Next? 

Katt Williams can’t book movies because there aren’t any roles that fit a 5’5 guy with a perm and a high pitched voice. What role can Katt Williams play other than a pimp? 

Katt WIlliam tried to suggest that he doesn’t have opportunities because he didn’t sell his soul. 

Well, everyone knows that Dave Chapelle quit The Chappelle Show because he didn’t like the way a white staff member laughed at a skit dealing with racial issues. Yet, Dave Chapelle has made a comeback in comedy because he is still funny as before.

Katt Williams is simply not that funny anymore. Katt Williams also got into multiple legal issues that have also impacted his career. 

Then Katt Williams talked about his inability to get blackballed again because Satan can’t create blessings for his people. It’s amazing that now Katt Williams is falling off, he wants to act like he’s on God’s side and everyone else sold their soul to the devil.

Katt Williams ain’t do anything holier than thou to get to where he is. 

Talking about how these other comedians took shortcuts. 

Thats like an “independent” rapper talking about how a superstar is only a superstar because they signed a record deal and calling it a “shortcut.”

All these “shortcuts” that Kevin Hart took look like smart business moves to me. Katt Williams messed up for not diversifying his portfolio. Just because you declined some business offers for your moral standard is not an excuse to be in the shadows of your profession, especially if you’re a self proclaimed King.
